Efforts underway to make cities systematic: DPM Shrestha

KATHMANDU, AUGUST 20

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Urban Development, Prakash Man Singh, has said activities for infrastructure development are in priority and efforts are underway to make cities systematic.

At a programme organised at Kathmandu constituency-1 today, DPM Singh underlined that the ministry has been carrying out activities for the construction of safe and systematic cities and results would be seen gradually.

'I am making efforts to carry out activities for the improvement. It will take time to see improvements. There is no doubt that people will feel the change,' he shared.

DPM Shrestha added that the ministry is taking initiatives to reduce the pollution in Bagmati, Bishnumati as well as other rivers in Kathmandu Valley. Initiatives are also taken for sewerage management, he added.
