KANKREBIHAR, SEPTEMBER 8

Two people remain trapped under the debris after a landslide swept through Dhuma in Barekot Rural Municipality-6, Jajarkot district, early this morning.

The incident, which occurred at around 2:00 a.m., buried Prem Kumari Chalune, her husband Man Bahadur Chalune, and their 11-year-old daughter.

The daughter was rescued alive but injured and has been transported to a local hospital in Limsa for treatment.

Efforts are ongoing, with local police leading the rescue operation to recover the couple, though no success has been reported so far.
