PM Oli appeals for support to disaster victims

Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has called on all citizens to assist those affected by floods, landslides, and inundations, urging them to view the nation's suffering as their own.
Speaking at a press conference today at the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers in Singha Durbar, PM Oli encouraged collective support for ongoing search, rescue, relief, and rehabilitation efforts across the country. 'This is not just the government's pain, but the nation's pain. We are all deeply affected by this disaster,' he stated.
He acknowledged structural deficiencies that contributed to the damage and emphasized that future infrastructure will be designed to better withstand such disasters.
PM Oli also expressed his commitment to rectifying any shortcomings in rescue operations, noting that the scale of the disaster exceeded the government's initial preparations.
He stressed the importance of fully utilizing state and societal resources to address the current crisis.
