Update: Death toll reaches five in Chitwan vehicle collision

The death toll in the Chitwan vehicle collision rose to five after an injured person succumbed to injuries during treatment. The accident occurred early this morning when two vehicles collided head-on at Satrakilo along the Narayangadh-Mugling road section.
Among the five injured, one is reported to be in critical condition.
According to police, the collision took place around 3:00 am between a Hiace van (Ba. Pra. 06-001 Ja 0298) traveling from Muglin to Narayangadh and a bus (Ba. Pra. 03-001 Kha 2812) heading in the opposite direction.
The deceased include three men and one woman, all passengers in the Hiace. One victim has been identified as 42-year-old Raj Bahadur Gurung from Arughat Rural Municipality in Gorkha. The driver of the Hiace is also reported to be among the deceased, while the identities of the remaining victims are yet to be confirmed.
The injured are receiving treatment in various hospitals in Bharatpur.
