KATHMANDU, NOVEMBER 11

Five people lost their lives, and one person was injured when the pickup van they were traveling in plunged off the road near Byarthala in Jaidi, Jaimini Municipality-7, Baglung, early this morning.

According to police, the van (Ga 2 Cha 9247), en route from Chhisti in Jaimini Municipality-8 to Baglung Bazaar, when it lost control and plunged over 100 meters below the road. The accident claimed the lives of five individuals, including the driver.

One passenger was rescued alive from the scene. There were six people in the van at the time of the incident.

The identities of the deceased have yet to be ascertained.
