Agreements with China hold historic significance: PM Oli

KATHMANDU, DECEMBER 4

Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has remarked that the agreements reached with China during his official visit hold historic significance.

Speaking at a reception hosted by the Nepali Embassy in Beijing today, PM Oli, who is on an official visit at the invitation of Chinese Premier Li Qiang, emphasized that his visit had been instrumental in broadening, deepening, and strengthening Nepal-China relations.

At a time when Nepal is advancing toward prosperity under political stability, PM Oli noted that partnerships with developed nations like China are crucial. He highlighted Nepal's ambition to attract a significant influx of Chinese tourists in 2025 and expressed enthusiasm about discussions held with Chinese industrialists.

The Prime Minister also stated that the current government, led by two major political parties, is committed to driving Nepal toward modernization and economic prosperity.

Similarly, Foreign Minister Dr. Arzu Rana Deuba remarked that PM Oli's visit had elevated Nepal-China relations to new heights.

Nepali Ambassador to China, Dr. Krishna Prasad Oli, described the visit as a milestone in strengthening mutual trust and understanding between the two nations.

One key outcome of the visit was the signing of the Belt and Road Initiative Cooperation Framework, marking a significant step in Nepal-China collaboration.
