Gold drops Rs 2,200 per tola on Sunday

The price of gold in the domestic market continued its downward trend on Sunday, dropping by Rs 2,200 per tola. This follows a decline of Rs 1,200 per tola recorded on Friday.
According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers' Association, the price of fine gold is now set at Rs 150,800 per tola, down from Rs 153,000 per tola on Friday.
Gold prices had been rising steadily since Mangsir 23, when the rate was Rs 149,700 per tola, peaking at Rs 154,200 per tola. However, the upward momentum reversed after the price remained stable at Rs 154,200 for two days.
Silver prices mirrored the downward trend of gold, dropping by Rs 20 per tola on Sunday. The price of silver is now rated at Rs 1,840 per tola, down from Rs 1,860 per tola on Friday and Rs 1,925 per tola on Thursday.
