KATHMANDU, JANUARY 24

The price of gold surged by Rs 1,000 per tola in the domestic market on Friday, recovering after a Rs 400 drop on Thursday.

According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers' Association, fine gold is being traded at Rs 160,600 per tola today, up from Rs 159,600 per tola yesterday.

Similarly, silver prices also saw a modest increase, rising by Rs 5 per tola. Silver, which was traded at Rs 1,875 per tola on Thursday, is now priced at Rs 1,880 per tola.
