Embassy of Japan announces Japanese Film Festival 2025 in Kathmandu, Pokhara

KATHMANDU, JANUARY 28
The Embassy of Japan in Nepal has announced the Japanese Film Festival 2025, set to take place in Kathmandu and Pokhara. This exciting cultural event aims to strengthen the bond between Japan and Nepal by showcasing Japanese cinema and providing an opportunity for audiences to experience Japan's rich storytelling traditions.
The festival will be held at Rastriya Nachghar, Jamal, Kathmandu, on January 31 and February 1, 2025, and at the Pokhara Chamber of Commerce & Industries, Gaira Patan, on March 7 and 8, 2025. A total of ten films will be screened-five in Kathmandu and five in Pokhara, the Japanese Embassy said in the press release.
Admission to all screenings is free and will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. The Embassy warmly invites film enthusiasts, cultural organizations, and the general public to attend and enjoy the cinematic experience, the release further states.
