KATHMANDU, APRIL 16

Devotees and revelers smeared vermillion powder on each other as they paraded through the ancient city of Thimi in Bhaktapur on Tuesday, celebrating the vibrant Sindoor Jatra.

Marking the Nepali New Year, the festival featured chariots carrying Hindu gods and goddesses, accompanied by a joyful crowd dancing and dousing one another in clouds of orange-red powder.
