NEPSE jumps 62.25 points as finance sector leads rally
All sectors post gains; daily turnover hits Rs 10.5 billion

After several days of decline, the Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) Index rebounded strongly on Wednesday, rising by 62.25 points or 2.38 percent to close at 2,673.69.
The Sensitive Index, which tracks Class 'A' companies, climbed 2.49 percent, while the Float Index - representing actively traded shares - increased by 2.63 percent.
All sectoral indices ended in the green. The finance sector led the rally with a gain of 5.47 percent, followed by hydropower (3.13%), banking (2.97%), non-life insurance (2.67%), life insurance (2.44%), others (2.43%), development banks (2.40%), and microfinance (2.24%).
A total of 27.24 million shares of 3108 companies were traded in 99,305 transactions, generating a daily turnover of Rs 10.5 billion.
Out of the listed stocks, 227 advanced, 18 declined, and one remained unchanged.
Nepal Micro Insurance Company Limited (NMIC) and Crest Micro Life Insurance Limited (CREST) hit the upper 10 percent circuit, recording the highest gains of the day.
NEPSE's total market capitalization at the close of trading stood at approximately Rs 4.447 trillion.
