KATHMANDU, MAY 31

The Karnali Highway will remain completely closed from June 3 to 7 for repair work along the Kalalu–Lalighat section.

According to Assistant Chief District Officer Janak Sharma, a meeting of stakeholders held at the District Administration Office on Friday decided to halt all traffic due to the narrow and challenging terrain in the repair zone. Vehicles will be stopped at designated points on both sides.

The four-day closure is expected to affect commuters from Kalikot, Bajura, and Humla districts. Repairs will cover nearly a one-kilometre stretch of the highway.
