KATHMANDU, JUNE 1

One person died and eight others were injured when a jeep met with an accident at Kedar village in KI Singh Rural Municipality-5, Doti, earlier today.

The deceased has been identified as Meen Bam (42), of Gaguda in Bogatan Phudsil Rural Municipality-6.

According to police, the jeep (SuPra 01001J1464) was traveling from Gaguda to Dipayal when the crash occurred.

Bam, who sustained critical injuries, was rushed to Shaileshwori Hospital in Dipayal but was declared dead upon arrival.

Police confirmed that eight others, including the driver, were injured in the crash. Among them, one is in critical condition, five have moderate injuries, and two sustained minor wounds. All are currently undergoing treatment at Shaileshwori Hospital.

Further investigation into the case is underway, police said.
