KATHMANDU, JUNE 11
The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology has forecast partly to generally cloudy conditions across the country throughout Wednesday, with chances of light to moderate rain accompanied by thunder and lightning at a few places.
There is also a possibility of light snowfall or rainfall at one or two locations in the high hilly and mountainous regions.
Similar weather is expected to continue into the night, with scattered showers and cloudy skies prevailing in most areas.
In the Kathmandu Valley, skies will remain partly cloudy this afternoon with a 20% chance of brief rain or thundershowers. Cloudiness is expected to increase by night, with a 40% chance of rain in the valley.
According to the Meteorological Forecasting Division (MFD), current weather patterns are being influenced by local and westerly winds across western and central Nepal. Meanwhile, monsoon winds are affecting much of Koshi Province, contributing to the cloud buildup and precipitation.
Residents, particularly in mountainous regions and areas prone to lightning, are advised to remain cautious.
