KATHMANDU, JULY 16

The Janata Samajwadi Party (JSP) Nepal has decided to withdraw its support for the government. The decision was made at a meeting held today at the party's parliamentary office in Singha Durbar.

'The party's support for the current government no longer holds justification, as it has failed to meet the people's expectations. Therefore, a decision was taken to withdraw support and remain in the opposition,' read a statement issued after the meeting.

The statement further noted that the government has failed to ensure good governance, revive the economy, accelerate economic development, and effectively implement federalism.
