KATHMANDU, AUGUST 8

Seven people, including a child and a woman, were injured early this morning when a Hiace vehicle traveling from Jumla to Surkhet met with an accident in Takulla, Kalikot district.

According to Deputy Superintendent of Police Ravinbabu Regmi of Jumla District Police Office, the vehicle (BA 1 Jha 0976) went out of control and fell approximately 100 meters into the Tila River.

All injured have been rushed to Kalikot District Hospital for treatment. DSP Regmi stated that five of the injured are in serious condition while two sustained minor injuries.

Police from Kalikot confirmed the accident and have dispatched a team to the site.

Further details about the victims are yet to be released by the Jumla District Police Office.
