KATHMANDU, AUGUST 8

A joint patrol team of Nepal Police and Armed Police Force seized a large quantity of marijuana from Mahadeva Tole in Pato, Dakneshwari Municipality-5, Saptari district.

The 396 kilograms of marijuana, packed in 17 sacks, was found abandoned in a paddy field and bamboo grove near a canal, according to DSP Jitendra Kumar Basnet, spokesperson for the District Police Office.

Further investigation into the case is currently underway.
