BIRGUNJ: Some 150 persons in Parsa district sacrificed their lives for the sake of the country through the Rana regime to Janandolan-II. According to the Parsa District Administration Office, 150 had attained martyrdom including Martyr Thir Bam Malla and Martyr Tej Bahadur Amatya. Malla was killed during the Rana regime while Amatya was killed during the Panchayat era. Similarly, some 134 persons were killed during the decade-long insurgency.
