Indian Foreign Secretary Misri, NC President Deuba Discuss Bilateral Relations

KATHMANDU, AUGUST 17

Visiting Foreign Secretary of India, Vikram Misri, paid a courtesy call on Nepali Congress (NC) President and former Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba on Sunday.

The meeting, held at Deuba's residence in Budhanilakantha, focused on various aspects of bilateral relations and matters of mutual interest, according to Bhanu Deuba, Chief Personal Secretary to the NC President.

Both sides also discussed ways to further consolidate the close and multifaceted ties between Nepal and India.

Foreign Secretary Misri arrived in Kathmandu on Sunday morning for a two-day official visit at the invitation of Nepal's Foreign Secretary, Amrit Bahadur Rai.

Nepal and India enjoy traditionally cordial relations, and the visit reflects the continuation of high-level exchanges between the two neighbors.

It is widely believed that this visit will contribute to further strengthening bilateral ties.
