The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology (DHM) has forecast generally cloudy conditions across the country today, with chances of moderate rainfall in hilly regions and scattered rain elsewhere. One or two places in the hilly areas of Koshi, Gandaki, and Sudurpaschim Provinces are likely to witness heavy downpours.

The monsoon trough is currently located south of its average position in the east, while in the west it remains close to its usual alignment, according to the DHM.

The Valley is expected to remain generally cloudy with rain this afternoon, with maximum temperatures ranging between 26°C to 28°C and a 70% chance of precipitation. Tonight, similar conditions will persist, with minimum temperatures between 20°C to 22°C, also accompanied by a 70% chance of rain.
