KATHMANDU, SEPTEMBER 2

A bilateral meeting was held today between Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli and Vice President of the People's Republic of China Han Zheng at the Diaoyutai State Guesthouse in Beijing.

Prime Minister Oli is currently on an official visit to China at the invitation of President Xi Jinping.

During the meeting, the Chinese side emphasized expanding bilateral diplomatic relations and advancing projects of mutual benefit. The Nepali side, in turn, reaffirmed its firm adherence to the One-China policy and reiterated its commitment to ensuring that Nepali territory will not be used against China.

On the occasion, Vice President Han hosted a dinner in honour of the visiting Nepali delegation.

Earlier in the day, Prime Minister Oli departed for Beijing after attending the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Plus Summit in Tianjin.
