Protesters set fire to former Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak's residence

KATHMANDU, SEPTEMBER 9

Protesters have completely torched the residence of former Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak in Naikap, Kathmandu.

Lekhak, who resigned from his post yesterday, was torched as demonstrators gathered outside his home, setting the house on fire.

A large crowd remains outside the residence, continuing the protest.

Protesters across the country have escalated to stone-throwing and arson at residences and properties belonging to the political party leaders.
