KATHMANDU, SEPTEMBER 13

Bangladesh government's Chief Advisor Prof. Muhammad Yunus has congratulated Sushila Karki on her appointment as Nepal's interim prime minister.

In a message sent Saturday, Yunus said Karki's leadership during Nepal's challenging period reflects the trust of the Nepali people and expressed confidence that her tenure will guide the country toward peace, stability, and development.

Yunus, who leads Bangladesh's caretaker government, also conveyed his intent to work closely with Karki-who currently also oversees Nepal's Ministry of Foreign Affairs-to further strengthen bilateral ties based on mutual respect and cooperation.

He offered condolences to those who lost their lives in recent protests and wished the injured a swift recovery.
