DANG, SEPTEMBER 13

Authorities have rearrested 71 of the 253 inmates who escaped from Tulshipur Prison during the recent Gen-Z protests, according to Prison Chief Gir Bahadur Sejuwal.

Sejuwal said some of the fugitives surrendered voluntarily while others were apprehended by security personnel. The jailbreak occurred when 253 male inmates broke out of the facility, which housed 469 prisoners, leaving only the female inmates inside.

Meanwhile, daily life in Dang is slowly returning to normal. Public transport resumed and markets reopened on Saturday morning, though the local administration has maintained a prohibitory order across the district.
