KATHMANDU: In a meeting of the ten political allies of the present government, Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal expressed his reservation over Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs Sujata Koirala’s controversial statement for a change in the leadership of the government at his office in Singh Durbar on Sunday.
Koirala on Saturday commented that the current government is excluding other parties and is exclusively a UML government. She also said that she favours a new government led by the Nepal Congress.
After the meeting, Rastriya Prajatantra Party chairman Pashupati Shamsher Rana informed journalists that the PM was of the view that DPM’s statement spread the wrong message and urged her not to make such remarks. He added that another meeting slated for Monday would deliberate further on DPM Koirala’s remarks.
