Gold price climbed sharply in the domestic market on Friday, rising Rs 800 per tola to reach Rs 216,000 per tola, according to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers' Association.

Fine gold was traded at Rs 215,200 per tola on Thursday.

Silver also recorded a notable increase, gaining Rs 60 per tola. The white metal is now priced at Rs 2,580 per tola, up from Rs 2,520 per tola the previous day, the federation said.
