KATHMANDU, SEPTEMBER 21

To safeguard upcoming Dashain, Tihar, and Chhath festivals, Kathmandu District Police has mobilized 4,738 officers under a four-tier security plan.

Spokesperson SP Apilraj Bohara said 91 key locations will have permanent posts, while plainclothes teams, mobile patrols, and motorcycle quick-response units will monitor markets, temples, bus parks, and gold shops.

Police have urged residents leaving homes for the holidays to alert neighbors or local stations for added security.
