An international team led by 8K Expedition successfully stood on the true summit of Mt. Manaslu (8,163 m) on Thursday, braving unpredictable weather and demanding Himalayan conditions.

Nine climbers reached the top, including five Nepali guides and four foreign mountaineers, according to Lakpa Sherpa, MD at the 8K Expeditions.

The foreign summiteers were Zolbookhuu Ombo of Mongolia, Tamara Claire LH and Wesley Om Marks of the United Kingdom, and Maria Kinash of Moldova.

They were supported by Nepali climbers Dawa Ongju Sherpa, IFMGA guide Tsering Pemba Sherpa, Ang Pasang Sherpa, Pemba Dorchee Sherpa, and Pasa Rinji Sherpa.

All members are descending safely, while another group from the expedition is preparing for a summit bid tonight, Lakpa Sherpa said.
