KATHMANDU, SEPTEMBER 26

The Finance Ministry has implemented the Government Integrated Office Management System (GIOMS) to streamline official work and reduce paper use.

Finance Minister Rameshore Prasad Khanal inaugurated the system by digitally approving a file on Thursday.

Developed by the Department of Information Technology under the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, the platform aims to make government operations paperless, transparent, and efficient.

The ministry has mandated electronic signatures for all official decisions, orders, correspondence, attendance, and records managed through GIOMS, making it the first government office to fully adopt the system.
