Rope-fixing team opens summit route on Mt. Dhaulagiri

KATHMANDU, SEPTEMBER 27
A rope-fixing team reached the summit of Mt. Dhaulagiri I (8,167m) at 7:05 AM on Friday, opening the route for climbers attempting the mountain in the autumn 2025 season. The ascent was completed under favorable weather conditions, according to the seven Summit Treks.
The team comprised fixing leader Lakpa Temba Sherpa, along with Pasang Nurbu Sherpa, Furba Kusang Sherpa, and Tasi Sherpa.
The operation was carried out jointly by Seven Summit Treks and 14 Peaks Expedition under the leadership of Lakpa Sherpa.
With the route secured, climbers on Dhaulagiri are expected to begin their summit bids in the coming days.
