KATHMANDU, SEPTEMBERR 28

Six mountaineers from Spain, China, France, and Nepal scaled Mt. Dhaulagiri (8,167 m) on Sunday morning, expedition organiser Seven Summit Treks (SST) confirmed.

The team included Jorge Egocheaga Rodriguez (Spain), Ping Lu (China), Catherine Marcelle Rosa Bury of France (Peak 15), and Nepali climbers Pem Nurbu Sherpa, Taraman Tamang, and Pemba Tasi Sherpa (Peak 15).

SST credited the successful summit to the Dhaulagiri Rope Fixing Team, which completed the route on September 26, paving the way for the international ascent.
