KATHMANDU, SEPTEMBER 29
The Annapurna Conservation Area Project (ACAP) reports that 108,686 foreign tourists visited Mustang between January and September 28, 2025-a 5.32% rise from the 102,894 arrivals during the same period last year.
In 2024, the district welcomed a total of 135,719 foreign visitors. To match that figure this year, arrivals must grow by nearly 20% in the remaining months, according to the ACAP.
Mustang's dramatic Himalayan scenery, ancient monasteries, Lo Manthang Palace, Chhoser caves, Muktinath Temple and Dhumba Lake remain the main draws for trekkers and pilgrims.
