16 injured as e-microbus plunges into ravine in Makwanpur

The vehicle lost control after colliding with a motorcycle along the Madan Bhandari Highway

A person died while another sustained injuries as a tipper hit a motorcycle along the East-West Highway in Makawanpur on Sunday morning.

KATHMANDU, OCTOBER 7

Sixteen people were injured when an electric microbus veered off the road and plunged about 15 feet into a ravine at Harami Chowk, Bagmati Rural Municipality–4, Makwanpur, on Monday morning.

Police said the microbus (M.P. 02-001 Ja 0072), en route from Sindhuli to Hetauda, collided with a motorcycle (Na 5 Pa 5558) entering the highway from an inner road, causing the vehicle to lose control.

All 16 injured, including the motorcyclist, were rescued and taken to Sambhi Polyclinic and Cooperative Hospital for treatment, according to Inspector Thakur Sapkota of the District Police Office, Makwanpur.
