MUSCAT, OCTOBER 15
With the team's historic qualification for the T20 World Cup 2026 in India and Sri Lanka next year, Nepali cricket fans danced, sang, and celebrated the squad's success with great fanfare at the Al Amerat Cricket Stadium in Oman today.
Fans from all walks of life, who had gathered to witness another thrilling contest against the hosts with qualification at stake, were greeted with the joyous news of Nepal's advancement following UAE's triumph over Samoa and Qatar's win over Japan, securing qualification with games to spare.
Despite busy schedules, supporters traveled from across Oman-and even from other Gulf states-to be part of the team's journey. One fan, who had flown in from Qatar and arrived directly from the airport, watched the match before catching a return flight the same night.
The crowd sang, danced, and passionately recited the national anthem, cheering every ball and every shot, creating an electrifying atmosphere that reverberated throughout the stadium.
With this qualification secured, Nepal will face Samoa in their final Super Six fixture on Friday.
