KATHMANDU, OCTOBER 17

Aakar Foundation, a nonprofit organization promoting inclusion and empowerment for persons with disabilities, is set to host a special Art Exhibition on October 17–18 at Alliance Française de Kathmandu, Pulchowk.

The exhibition, open to the public, aims to challenge stereotypes surrounding disability by showcasing creativity and talent through art.

Supported by MAW Group, Siddhartha Premier Insurance, and Global IME Bank, the event is part of Aakar Foundation's broader mission to promote independence and financial empowerment among people with disabilities.

The purpose of organizing this exhibition is to create greater awareness about the abilities of persons with disabilities and to challenge the stereotypes that often surround them. By showcasing their art and creativity in a public space, Aakar Foundation hopes to inspire society to see beyond disability and recognize talent, skill, and potential. The exhibition also seeks to provide a platform for individuals to express themselves with confidence, proving that their voices and creativity deserve equal visibility, the foundation said in its press release.

In the past two years, Aakar Foundation has organized over 20 workshops, engaging more than 80 participants and forming multiple partnerships to promote inclusive growth. The organization continues to advocate for equal opportunities through art, education, and skill development, the foundation stated.
