KATHMANDU, OCTOBER 23

President Ramchandra Paudel received this year's Bhaitika tika from his younger sisters Sharada Pandit and Chanda Ojha at the auspicious hour of 11:39 a.m. at Shital Niwas on Thursday.

The auspicious time was determined by the Nepal Calendar Determination Committee, which stated that Bhaitika rituals could be performed throughout the day.

The ceremony marks the culmination of the Tihar festival, when sisters apply the five-coloured tika on their brothers' foreheads, symbolizing love, blessings, and longevity.
