KATHMANDU, OCTOBER 26

Newly appointed Minister for Youth and Sports, Bablu Gupta, assumed office on Sunday.

Upon taking charge at Singha Durbar, Minister Gupta signed a minute of decision to ensure the live broadcast of all meetings held by the bodies under the ministry. He pledged to prioritize action over rhetoric in advancing the nation's sports sector.

A native of Lahan city in Siraha district, Minister Gupta also leads the Gen Z movement and has been actively involved in social service.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, he initiated a free meal campaign and continues to promote educational empowerment through the Hundred Group, a non-profit, non-governmental organization.
