Yango Nepal, part of the global technology company Yango Group, has signed on as the official title sponsor of the Lumbini Lions for the upcoming second season of the Nepal Premier League (NPL).
Lumbini Lions President Ishwar GC expressed delight over the partnership, describing Yango as a youthful and innovative brand that shares the team's vision of excellence and global reach. 'Carrying the passion, pride, and potential of Nepali cricket, we have chosen Yango as our perfect companion to roar at both national and international levels,' he said.
A Yango representative noted the company's enthusiasm for supporting cricket in Nepal, saying, 'Cricket connects everyone, and we are proud to stand behind the Lumbini Lions. We are confident they will perform exceptionally this season.'
Yango Group, headquartered in Dubai, UAE, operates across multiple sectors - including mobility, navigation, delivery, foodtech, entertainment, and AI services - adapting global technologies for local communities.
The Lumbini Lions, featuring Rohit Kumar Paudel, captain of the Nepal national team, as their marquee player, are training intensively under floodlights at the Extrat Tech Oval in preparation for the floodlit NPL matches at TU International Cricket Ground, Kirtipur, beginning mid-November.
The team's management includes Robin Singh, IPL-winning coach, as mentor, and Tinu Yohannan, former Indian cricketer, as head coach. The Lions have retained several key players and added new signings from the recent NPL auction.
