KATHMANDU, NOVEMBER 15
Nepali passport holders will no longer require a transit visa when transiting through Hong Kong International Airport, the Consulate General of Nepal in Hong Kong announced on Friday.
The provision, effective from November 15, follows continuous diplomatic engagements with the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of China. The transit visa requirement had been in place since June 2005.
The Consulate General said the move will greatly facilitate travel for Nepali passengers and help boost ties between Nepal and Hong Kong.
