KATHMANDU, NOVEMBER 24
Team Ventures Limited, one of Nepal's pioneering private equity firms and among the earliest established in the sector, has appointed Siddhartha Capital Limited as the Issue Manager for its upcoming public share issuance.
The signing ceremony, held today at Siddhartha Capital's office in Naxal, Kathmandu, marks a significant step in the company's move toward public listing. The agreement was signed by Mr. Kesang Shrestha, Chairperson of Team Ventures, and Mr. Sandeep Karki, Chief Executive Officer of Siddhartha Capital.
Founded in 2016, Team Ventures has played a leading role in shaping Nepal's investment ecosystem at a time when institutional private equity was still emerging. Built on the vision of supporting entrepreneurial growth and maximizing investor value, the firm has grown into a respected investment institution with a paid-up capital now over NPR 1 billion, backed by a broad base of high-net-worth individuals. Its sector-agnostic approach, rigorous investment discipline, and deep understanding of Nepal's economic drivers have enabled it to build a diversified, high-quality portfolio across the country's key growth industries.
Over the past nine years, Team Ventures has demonstrated a consistent performance track record with eight successful portfolio exits, seven full and one partial. Several additional exits remain in the pipeline, underscoring the firm's structured investment approach and strengthening its long-term exit outlook. Many of its portfolio companies are also advancing toward potential public listings, positioning Team Ventures as a catalyst for converting private enterprises into capital-market-ready institutions.
Team Ventures' investments span energy, manufacturing, agriculture infrastructure, and technology, with key companies including Pashupati Renewables, White Lotus Power, Upper Syange Hydropower, Dobhan Khola Hydropower, Annapurna Machha Dana Udhyog, Hulas Infra, Hulas Iron, Laxmi Steels, Nepal Warehousing Company, Foodmandu, and Wiseyak Solutions. Beyond providing capital, the firm offers strategic guidance, governance support, and operational expertise to its investee companies, reinforcing its long-term partnership model and its commitment to sustainable, value-driven growth.
As Nepal's capital market continues to mature, Team Ventures' decision to go public represents both a strategic expansion of its investor base and a broader contribution to strengthening Nepal's investment landscape. The firm will issue approximately 2.5 million shares to the general public, offering investors across the country an opportunity to participate in the growth of a company that has played a leading and sustained role in developing Nepal's private equity landscape.
Team Ventures is led by Chairperson Mr. Kesang Shrestha, alongside board members Mr. Lopsang Shrestha, Mr. Dorje Gyaltsen Lama, Mrs. Sangye Dekyi Sherpa, and Mr. Bijay Bahadur Shrestha, and the executive team is headed by its CEO Mr. Tenzin Sonam Gonsar.
