Five arrested with firearms in Kathmandu
Police seize pistols and revolver in separate operations across capital

KATHMANDU, NOVEMBER 28 Police arrested five individuals with firearms across different parts of Kathmandu, seizing two pistols, one revolver and ammunition. A team from the Kathmandu Valley Crime Investigation Office, Teku, arrested three men with two pistols and one magazine, on Wednesday The arrested have been identified as Nikesh BK, 25, a resident of Bagbazaar, Kathmandu Metropolitan City–28, originally from Bagmati Rural Municipality–7, Makwanpur; Suraj BK, 25; and Balkrishna Gaire, 25, residing in Bhrikutimandap, Kathmandu Metropolitan City–28, originally from Dhorpatan Municipality–3, Baglung. All three were sent to Kathmandu District Police Range for investigation under the Arms and Ammunition Act. Police arrested Manoj Kumar Sundas, 41, a resident of Civil Home, Ramkot in Nagarjun Municipality–6, originally from Bhanu Municipality–9, Tanahun, after a Phasku Police Post team discovered a pistol, magazine and eight rounds of ammunition during a room search, on Thursday. Also on Thursday, a 16-year-old boy from Bihar, India, residing in Lagan, Kathmandu Metropolitan City–21, was arrested with a revolver. A team of police from Janasewa Police Circle discovered the weapon during a room search. Police said investigation is underway in all cases.
