KATHMANDU, NOVEMBER 28 Siddhartha Bank has been recognized with three major awards by Visa International at the 'Visa Leadership Conclave' for its outstanding performance in digital payment services and customer-centric banking. The bank received accolades for Excellence in Consumer Credit Cards, Excellence in Prepaid Cards, and Excellence in POS Acquiring, reflecting its growing market presence in Nepal's card and digital payment sector. According to the statement by the bank, by the end of Ashad 2082, banks in Nepal had issued around 318,000 credit cards, with Siddhartha Bank accounting for roughly 60,000, or 19% of the market. In prepaid cards, the bank held 34,000 of 250,000 issued nationwide. In the POS (acquiring) segment, the bank processed nearly 936,000 transactions, about 8% of total transactions. The awards underscore Siddhartha Bank's efforts to expand digital banking, strengthen business partnerships, and enhance customer satisfaction through modern technology.
