Gold price falls by Rs 1,700 per tola after hitting record high
Silver continues upward trend in domestic market

KATHMANDU, DECEMBER 16 After reaching a historic high of Rs 260,700 per tola on Monday, gold prices in the domestic market declined by Rs 1,700 per tola on Tuesday, failing to maintain the upward momentum. According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers' Association, fine gold is being traded at Rs 259,000 per tola today. Meanwhile, silver prices continued their upward trend, increasing by Rs 15 per tola on Tuesday. The Federation said silver is currently being traded at Rs 3,885 per tola, up from Rs 3,870 per tola on Monday.
