KATHMANDU, DECEMBER 16 The Election Commission of Nepal (ECN) has granted permission to 31 organizations to observe the upcoming House of Representatives (HoR) elections, scheduled for March 5, 2026. According to the Commission, 27 national and four international organizations have been authorized to monitor the elections. The ECN had received 44 applications from national organizations and five from international organizations, said Joint Secretary and Spokesperson Narayan Prasad Bhattarai. He said organizations that met the criteria set out in the Election Observation Guidelines–2079 BS were approved, while others have been asked to submit missing documents within five days, after which their applications will be reconsidered.
