Madhesh CM Yadav to seek Vote of Confidence on Friday

A confidence vote is required within 30 days of appointment

KATHMANDU, DECEMBER 18 Madhesh Province Chief Minister Krishna Prasad Yadav is set to seek a vote of confidence from the Provincial Assembly on Friday. The Chief Minister's Secretariat said arrangements have been requested in line with Article 168 of the Constitution, which requires a confidence vote within 30 days of appointment. Yadav was appointed Chief Minister on December 5 with the support of 77 assembly members from seven parties. He is expected to secure the vote comfortably.
