Insurance claims worth Rs 5.18 billion paid after Gen-Z Movement

Property and motor insurance dominate payouts

KATHMANDU, DECEMBER 18 Insurance claims worth Rs 5.18 billion have been settled so far for damages incurred during the Gen-Z movement, according to the Nepal Insurance Authority. Out of 3,303 non-life insurance claims amounting to Rs 23.45 billion, Rs 3.82 billion was paid for property insurance and Rs 1.22 billion for motor insurance. Nepal Reinsurance Company has also paid advance reinsurance claims worth Rs 3.2 billion to non-life insurers. Total reinsurance claims stand at Rs 16.62 billion from 14 insurance companies.
