Gold price drops by Rs 100 per tola, silver hits record high

Silver surges to Rs 4,105 per tola in domestic market

KATHMANDU, DECEMBER 21 The price of gold declined by Rs 100 per tola in the domestic market on Sunday, while silver surged to a new record high, increasing by Rs 100 per tola in a single day. According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers' Association, fine gold is being traded at Rs 258,300 per tola on Sunday, down from Rs 258,400 per tola on Friday. Meanwhile, silver continued its upward trend, reaching an all-time high of Rs 4,105 per tola. The price marks a Rs 100 increase from Rs 4,005 per tola recorded on Friday, the federation said.
