Three escaped prisoners arrested in Kathmandu

KATHMANDU, DECEMBER 24 Three prisoners who had escaped from the Central Jail in Sundhara, Kathmandu during the Gen Z movement have been apprehended. A team from the Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) arrested Sanjeev Pariyar, 34, of Dhunibesi Municipality-1; Bibek Pariyar, 35, of Thakre Rural Municipality-10 in Dhading district; and Rajendra Pariyar, 37, of Churimai Municipality-3 in Makawanpur district. The three were apprehended from different parts of Kathmandu on Wednesday. According to the CIB, the prisoners had been serving 13-year jail terms since September 17, 2017, in connection with a rape case. Superintendent of Police Niranjan Datta Bhatta stated that the arrested individuals were handed over to the Central Jail on Wednesday itself.
