KATHMANDU, DECEMBER 26 Global IME Bank Limited has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the DAI–Uday Project to expand access to credit for small and micro enterprises across Koshi Province. The agreement was signed by Global IME Bank CEO Surendra Raj Regmi and DAI–Uday Project Chief of Party Arun Rana. Under the partnership, enterprises selected by the project will be able to access loans through all Global IME Bank branches in Koshi Province. The initiative aims to support businesses facing capital constraints, helping them expand operations and generate employment. The DAI–Uday Project is being implemented across all districts of Koshi with technical support from the provincial Ministry of Economic Affairs and Planning, under a bilateral cooperation between the governments of Nepal and Switzerland. The project focuses on sectors including renewable energy, agro-processing, information technology, tourism, and manufacturing.
