KATHMANDU, JANUARY 13 Coordinator of the Nepali Communist Party (NCP), Pushpa Kamal Dahal, said that the time has come for major political parties to acknowledge their past mistakes and unite for the nation's prosperity. Addressing a function at the party's central office in Parisdanda to administer the oath to central committee members on Tuesday, Dahal emphasized the need for cooperation among all factions to strengthen national unity and independence with renewed commitment. 'The major political parties must engage in self-reflection and move forward by correcting past errors,' he reiterated. He observed, 'Traditional approaches are insufficient to address the challenges the country currently faces. Nepal is confronting an unprecedented crisis that can only be overcome through broader collaboration and a renewed vision. Our party's unification initiative was guided by this very understanding.' Dahal expressed satisfaction over the historic success of uniting 20 communist and socialist forces for the first time, despite adverse circumstances. 'With this unification, the party has become even more dynamic,' he asserted, pledging that the party will dedicate itself to ensuring a corruption-free nation.
